Hi all!
My name’s David Viñuales Pallares, GenX guy (’78), husband, and father of two children, from Barcelona, Spain.
Over the last years, I’ve been working in high traffic and high availability tech projects in an engineering management role. I also tried my luck with entrepreneurship (two e-commerce start-ups), without any success but lots of learnings.
Currently contributing and enjoying challenges at FCM Digital, building digital products for FCM Travel, part of Flight Centre Travel Group. Before joining the travel industry, my main experience was in retail. I enjoyed my time at MediaMarkt Iberia, managing teams in highly complex omnichannel projects, and other high availability startups as Privalia. If you’re interested, you could also check my LinkedIn profile or contact me there.
I consider myself hard-working, self-motivated, resolutive, empathic, flexible (adaptable), proactive, and a team player. I’ve been several years assuming management and responsibility roles. As any other human being, I am not perfect. I struggle while managing people, building teams, or making technical decisions. I am addicted to the imposter syndrome.
In this blog, I will be sharing personal thoughts, hobbies, and many topics in which I am interested: Technology, Management, Leadership, e-Commerce, Digital Business, Start-Ups, People and Team management, Data Science, Software Development, Customer Experience, etc.
You will see that I am not very constant posting on the blog. But from time to time, I come back here, and this is why I am keeping it. There are many purposes for why I am writing in this blog, but learning is probably the main one. Writing helps me to retain concepts, and it also helps me to improve my english as I am not a native english speaker. Also, looking at the humble stats feeds my ego. But I am too introverted to pretend to have more visibility than this.
Please, feel free to join and comment on any post. Most of the comments I receive are spam, so I’d be very happy to read something coming from humans.
I hope it worth the read. In any case, thanks for visiting, and have a nice day!
